Contemporary Retro Golden Valley MN Interior Design
Parents of four young boys sought colorful livability in their newly remodeled Golden Valley, MN home. Originally built in the 1970s, a contemporary retro theme complemented the space, resulting in a Golden Valley, MN interior design the homeowners really dig.
Right on! The homeowners selected Minneapolis Interior Designer Mallory Archer to make their interior home design more hip. Now they’re stylin’ with choice finishes, fabrics, and furniture selections throughout the main living areas of their cool crib.
Dy-no-mite. Beautiful, yet practical, the interior design holds up to heavy use among four active boys. The leather and ultra-suede sofas are durable enough to withstand routine scrubbings. Commercial-grade carpets with binding accommodate high foot and Hot Wheels® traffic.
Keeping it mellow. Mallory Archer retained neutral tones in the Golden Valley, MN home’s fixtures, with grey walls, warm woods, and mellow upholsteries. Colorful accents, including rugs, artwork and pillows jazz up the space while providing far-out focal points.
Getting real. Opposite the red birch wall in the Golden Valley, MN interior designed home is a stacked, slate fireplace. The natural materials add warmth to the space, despite the room’s high, vaulted ceilings.
Blasts from the past. Contemporary retro commands a starburst on the wall. The groovy accent overlooks a party-sized table created from a single slice of a walnut tree. The tabletop’s “living edge” retains the tree’s original shape. No tablecloth required; the wood’s sleek and foxy finish gets better with age.
